Volunteering
St. Vincent DePaul
I helped organize clothing and other household needs for those in need. During my time, I organized shelves to make it easier for people to find the things they need, and cleaned items to ensure they were in good shape.
Magic Johnson Foundation
I had the opportunity to volunteer with the Magic Johnson Foundation during the time around Thanksgiving. During this experience, I was able to put together food bags that were filled with Thanksgiving dinners and warm clothes to help families who may be financially struggling have a great Thanksgiving.
Special Olympics
I was able to volunteer with the Special Olympics volleyball program two times. The first time I helped hold a tournament for them to compete in, while also teaching them different skills. The second time we helped guide them through a practice where we helped them learn skills and how to be a good teammate.
Gleaners Food Bank
At Gleaners I sorted out spoiled food from batches of produce, and then packaged food up into bags to help fight hunger in my area.
Angels Place
Angels place is a community that helps people who have developmental disabilities and may need assistance doing their daily tasks. I cleaned up their yards by weeding their gardens and raking their leaves while also interacting with the residents who live there.
St. Daniels Church
With St. Daniels Church, I helped put on a Christmas party for everyone to come celebrate the holiday season together. I was in charge of the games, and keeping the children involved to help them have fun and get into the holiday spirit.
